Description
Discover perfect crispy Air Fryer Sesame Cauliflower Wings with easy steps and flavorful Asianinspired sauces for a healthy tasty snack or meal option
Ingredients
1 medium head cauliflower
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tablespoons sesame oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Optional: 1 teaspoon chili flakes
Instructions
- Wash and chop your cauliflower into bite-sized florets, aiming for a roughly uniform size so they cook evenly. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Slowly add water and stir until you get a smooth batter that clings nicely to the cauliflower. It should be thick but pourable.
- Dip each floret carefully into the batter, making sure every nook is covered. Hold over the bowl to let excess drip off.
- Place coated florets in a single layer in your air fryer basket (do not overcrowd). Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While cauliflower crisps, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, and rice vinegar. Heat gently in a small pan until it begins to bubble and becomes aromatic.
- Toss cooked cauliflower wings immediately in the warm sesame sauce to coat. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and optional chili flakes before serving.
Notes
