Ingredients

1 package of high-quality all-butter puff pastry
1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Zest of 1 lemon
1 egg (for egg wash, or non-dairy milk and maple syrup for vegan version)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3×6 inch rectangles.
- Place a mix of berries on one side of each pastry rectangle, leaving a small border.
- Sprinkle lemon zest over the berries.
- Fold the pastry over to seal the berries, pinch the edges, and twist to create a spiral shape.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash (or non-dairy milk mixture).
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, use whole wheat puff pastry or agave nectar instead of powdered sugar.
