Description

Rich chocolate cups filled with smooth caramel, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • Mini Cupcake Liners

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  2. Line a mini muffin or cupcake pan with mini cupcake liners.
  3. Carefully coat the insides of the cupcake liners with melted chocolate.
  4. If using store-bought caramel, warm it slightly; if making from scratch, cook sugar and water until golden, then stir in cream and sea salt.
  5. Fill each chocolate cup with warm caramel, leaving space for more chocolate.
  6. Melt another batch of chocolate and pour it over the caramel-filled cups, sealing them.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  8. Remove from liners and serve on a festive platter.

Notes

For best results, avoid scorching the chocolate by melting in short bursts and stirring frequently.
