  • ½ cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Arrange fresh cherries evenly in the pan and sprinkle with sugar.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time, then alternate adding dry mixture and milk.
  6. Pour batter over cherries and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then flip onto a platter.
