Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
- In a separate bowl, cream the unsalted butter and sugars until slightly fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then pour in the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat flour or natural sweeteners. This bread can also be served warm with butter or as French toast.
