Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of cookie dough and shape them into hearts.
- Place the shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between them, and bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool.
- Once cooled, dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate and place them back on a wire rack. Optionally, sprinkle with decorative toppings.
- Let the chocolate set at room temperature.
