Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and unsalted butter, then beat until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add granulated sugar, mixing until combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute whole wheat flour for all-purpose flour, or reduce sugar to enhance the cream cheese flavor.
