Description
These Air Fryer Apple Fries are crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with warm cinnamon flavor. They’re a quick, healthy, and family-friendly snack that satisfies your sweet cravings without the guilt. Perfect for cozy fall days or anytime you want a light dessert that feels special.
Ingredients
2–3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji work best), sliced into matchsticks
1–2 teaspoons olive oil or melted coconut oil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Pinch of ground ginger or cardamom (optional)
1 teaspoon brown sugar or maple sugar (optional)
Cooking spray for air fryer basket
Instructions
Prep the Apples: Wash and dry your apples, then slice them into even ¼-inch “fries.” Leave the peel on for extra texture.
Coat the Apples: Toss the slices in a bowl with olive oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, and any optional spices or sugar until evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes. Spray the basket lightly with cooking spray.
Arrange and Cook: Place apples in a single layer (don’t overcrowd). Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping or shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp around the edges.
Cool and Serve: Let rest for 2 minutes, then serve warm with caramel sauce, nut butter, or yogurt for dipping.
Notes
Apple Tip: Firm, crisp apples like Honeycrisp or Pink Lady give the best texture.
Sweeten It Up: For a dessert-style twist, add a sprinkle of brown sugar before air frying.
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2–3 minutes.
Serving Idea: Pair with vanilla ice cream or yogurt for a guilt-free treat.
