Crispy Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli (Oven Option Too!)

  • Author: Nina Caldwell
  • Total Time: 20–30 minutes
  • Yield: About 4 servings (1620 ravioli) 1x

Description

Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside—these air fryer toasted ravioli are the ultimate easy appetizer or snack. Made with simple pantry ingredients and ready in minutes, they deliver that restaurant-style crunch without deep frying. Perfect for parties, game days, or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

Scale

1 (12-ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli (or any flavor you like)

2 large eggs, beaten (or ½ cup milk for dairy-free option)

1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil spray or light drizzle of olive oil

Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  • Prepare the breading station: In one shallow bowl, whisk the eggs. In another, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Coat the ravioli: Dip each frozen ravioli into the egg mixture, then press it into the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated on all sides.

  • Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange coated ravioli in a single layer in the basket, lightly spray with olive oil, and air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.

  • Oven Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange ravioli in a single layer, spray or drizzle lightly with olive oil, and bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

  • Serve: Sprinkle with extra Parmesan and serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Make ahead: Bread ravioli and freeze on a baking sheet. Once solid, transfer to a bag. Cook straight from frozen—no thawing needed.

Extra crispy tip: After coating, let ravioli rest 5 minutes before cooking to help the breadcrumbs adhere better.

Variations: Try adding crushed red pepper to the breadcrumbs for spice, or use gluten-free ravioli and breadcrumbs.

Storage: Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes for best crunch.
