Crispy Chicken Caesar Sandwich Recipe (Pinterest-Friendly Twist)

  • Author: Helena
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2–3 sandwiches 1x

Description

A crispy chicken Caesar sandwich loaded with golden breaded chicken cutlets, crunchy romaine tossed in creamy Caesar dressing, and tucked into crusty bread. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal-prep lunches, or sharing at picnics.

Ingredients

Scale

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced in half horizontally into cutlets)

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped

½ cup creamy Caesar dressing

2–3 crusty rolls or baguette pieces (ciabatta works well)

Extra Parmesan, shaved, for topping (optional)

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  • Slice chicken breasts in half to create thin cutlets. Pat dry with paper towels.

  • Set up three bowls: flour with salt and pepper, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and garlic powder.

  • Dredge chicken cutlets in flour, dip in egg, then press firmly into breadcrumb mixture to coat.

  • Heat about ¼ inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high. Fry chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp). Drain on paper towels.

  • Toss romaine lettuce in Caesar dressing until coated.

  • Slice open rolls, layer with crispy chicken, dressed romaine, extra Parmesan, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

  • Serve warm, cut in half for easier eating.

Notes

For a lighter version, bake chicken at 400°F for 20–25 minutes instead of frying.

To meal-prep, store cooked chicken separately and reheat in the oven before assembling sandwiches.

Add-ins like bacon, avocado, or tomato slices make great flavor boosts.
