Description
These crispy cinnamon sugar air fryer banana chips are a quick and healthy snack that comes together in under 20 minutes. Sweet, crunchy, and lightly spiced, they’re perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth without reaching for packaged snacks. Great for lunchboxes, afternoon treats, or topping yogurt bowls.
Ingredients
2 firm but ripe bananas, sliced thin (about 1/8-inch)
1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (or butter/olive oil alternative)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (swap with brown sugar for deeper flavor)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Peel the bananas and slice into thin, even rounds (about 1/8-inch).
Place slices in a bowl and drizzle with melted coconut oil. Toss gently to coat.
In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle over bananas and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely. Chips will crisp up more as they cool.
Notes
For extra crunch, ensure slices are evenly thin and avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
Variations: Add cayenne for a spicy kick, drizzle with chocolate once cooled, or swap cinnamon sugar for savory seasonings.
Store cooled banana chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Re-crisp in the air fryer if needed.
