Delightful Crispy Potato Cheese Sticks that are easy to make and perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients

- 2 medium to large Potatoes
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
- 1 large Egg
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes, boil in salted water for 15 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain and mash the potatoes in a large bowl, then mix in cheese, flour, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into sticks about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide.
- Set up a breading station with whisked egg and breadcrumbs. Dip sticks in egg wash and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan, fry sticks in small batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and season with salt. Serve immediately with dipping sauces.
Notes
For a healthier version, consider baking at 425°F for 20 minutes instead of frying.
