Description
These baked churro bites are the perfect sweet snack—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and rolled in warm cinnamon sugar. No frying needed, just simple ingredients and an oven! Perfect for parties, holidays, or cozy nights at home.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter (or reduce added salt if using salted)
1 cup water
2 tbsp granulated sugar (plus ½ cup more for coating)
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus 1 tsp more for coating)
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
Cooking spray or 2 tbsp melted butter (for coating before rolling in cinnamon sugar)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Heat until simmering.
Remove from heat, stir in flour all at once, and mix until smooth dough forms.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then beat in eggs one at a time until dough is thick and smooth. Stir in baking powder.
Transfer to a piping bag with a star tip (or use a spoon) and pipe small mounds onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 18–22 minutes, until golden and puffed.
While still warm, spray or brush lightly with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serve immediately with chocolate, caramel, or your favorite dip.
