Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter and lightly flour it.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then gradually add the granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
