Description

A delightful, sophisticated dessert combining sweet and tart flavors, perfect for family gatherings or a simple afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Fresh Lemons (4-5, zest and juice)

Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup)

Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup)

All-Purpose Flour (1 1/4 cups)

Eggs (3 large)

Heavy Whipping Cream (1 cup)

Powdered Sugar (2 tablespoons)

Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Add all-purpose flour gradually, mixing until just combined. Press dough into a 9-inch tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes; let cool.
  4. Whisk together lemon juice, zest, eggs, and granulated sugar in a separate bowl. Mix in melted butter and pour filling into the cooled tart crust.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  6. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  7. Slice chilled tart and top with whipped lemon cream before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves for added flavor and visual appeal.
