1 Lemon, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Beat until fully mixed.
- Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing gently.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray and pour the batter into the dish.
- Arrange the lemon slices on top of the batter, pressing them slightly into the surface.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.
