Description

Ingredients

1 cup softened butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp strawberry extract

1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. One at a time, add the eggs and mix until glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Divide the dough into three parts: leave one plain, add cocoa powder to one, and strawberry extract to the other.
  7. Roll out the dough portions into rectangles, layer and roll them for a swirl pattern, wrap in plastic and chill for 15 minutes.
  8. Slice the chilled dough into 1/2-inch rounds and place on baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
