Description

A perfect horseradish sauce that enhances prime rib’s rich flavors, adding a sharp and creamy contrast.

Ingredients

Scale

1 Fresh Horseradish Root

1/2 cup Sour Cream

1/4 cup Mayonnaise

1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar

1/2 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the horseradish root using a vegetable peeler and finely grate or chop it.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the freshly prepared horseradish to the sour cream-mayo mixture, then sprinkle in the salt and sugar (if using). Mix well, taste, and adjust seasoning.
  4. Drizzle in the white wine vinegar (or lemon juice) and mix again.
  5. Cover the sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh horseradish for the best flavor. Consider using Greek yogurt as a substitute for a healthier option.
