Description

A delightful twist on a classic favorite, pink popcorn combines visual appeal with a sweet and savory flavor profile, perfect for parties or a fun snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup Popcorn Kernels

3 tablespoons Coconut Oil

Food Coloring (Pink)

1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

1 teaspoon Salt

2 tablespoons Butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the popcorn kernels and cover the pot, shaking occasionally. Remove from heat when popping slows down.
  2. In a small bowl, combine pink food coloring with a teaspoon of water (or beet juice) to achieve desired hue.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar and a pinch of salt together.
  4. Pour the popped popcorn into a mixing bowl. Drizzle the pink coloring over it while adding the sugar and salt mixture. Stir to coat evenly.
  5. Melt butter and drizzle over the popcorn, mixing again to coat.
  6. Transfer to serving bowls or an airtight container and garnish as desired.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using olive oil, honey, or nut butter as substitutes.
