Description

A unique fusion dish that combines the comforting flavors of pizza with the hearty goodness of a pot pie, all encased in a flaky crust.

Ingredients

Scale

2 Pie Crusts

2 cups Mozzarella Cheese

1 cup Pepperoni (sliced)

1 can (14 oz) Diced Tomatoes

1 cup Bell Peppers (chopped)

1 large Onion (diced)

1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning

1 Egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and Italian seasoning. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Roll out one pie crust to fit your pie dish.
  4. Place the rolled-out pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pour the filling mixture into it.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Seal the edges by crimping and create a few slits on top.
  6. Whisk the egg and brush it over the top crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  8. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Consider using whole wheat crust for a healthier option or low-fat cheese to cut down on calories.
