8 oz cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
2 tablespoons milk
8 oz dark chocolate (or semisweet chocolate)
Candy canes (crushed, for decoration)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Add peppermint extract and milk to the mixture, and continue mixing until well incorporated.
- Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture, roll it into a ball, and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
- While chilling, melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
- Dip each peppermint ball into the melted chocolate and return to the baking sheet.
- Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with crushed candy canes, and chill again for 30 minutes to set.
Notes
