Instructions

- Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Incorporate the Egg and Vanilla: Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Blend in Honey or Molasses: Incorporate honey or molasses until well combined.
- Gradually Add Dry Ingredients: Slowly add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the Dough: Cover and refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions, roll into balls, and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake the Cookies: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are slightly undercooked.
- Cool on a Wire Rack: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
