Sweet Christmas Cranberry Jam

Description

A delightful and vibrant cranberry jam that balances tart and sweet flavors, perfect for enhancing holiday meals.


Ingredients

2 cups fresh cranberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon orange zest

1/2 cup orange juice

1 cinnamon stick

1/2 cup water


Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water, sorting through to discard any that are soft or discolored.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon stick, and water. Stir well.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently until the cranberries start popping.
  4. Continue cooking for 15–20 minutes until the jam thickens.
  5. Once thickened, remove from heat and discard the cinnamon stick. Allow to cool for a few minutes.
  6. Pour the cranberry jam into sterilized glass jars, seal tightly, and refrigerate.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to six months.
