  • 1 tsp Anise or Fennel Seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather your ingredients and tools.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, and anise or fennel seeds.
  3. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the butter-sugar blend, stirring until no flour is visible.
  6. Scoop out portions of dough and roll them into balls; place on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar after cooling.
